Fair Warning - The anticheat may have just been turned on
https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongode...amous_unknown/
^link to proof. As of right now no one knows what it precisely is, but very similar packages were found in ingress for anti-cheats. The fact this just showed up after they finally stabilized their servers offers more credence to the theory they just flipped the switch on the anti-cheat. If you want to play it safe, stop all spoofing/hacks now for a few days until the packets have been identified or just continue and pray.
Just wanted to inform all you cheeky bastards ^_^
Cheers.

Odd that they'd add anti-cheat before fixing all the other issues.

I mean that's just it, they DID fix all their other issues besides the 3 step bug, which is just renewing their API license. The server has had like 95% uptime today DURING a release in Japan? That pretty much just shows how much they have improved, so they are now going to be banning the people botting multiple accounts that are probably making a ton of server calls. By removing these extraneous players, the server load improves that much more. So it makes sense, ban the people using Nox / bots, server stability improves.
But again! I want to emphasize we have NO idea what these packets are. But those of us who have seen this before / are used to packet sniffing will most likely play it safe because this is exactly what an anti-cheat looks like. Once someone identifies the packets, then we will be 100% certain and until that time I've personally stopped all botting/spoofing.

Niantec does not need to update their game to make changes or turn on the anti-cheat. For all we know, the anticheat was part of the original APK / download and all they had to do was flip the switch.

What worries me more is following quote from the link
"... via old logs scanned through their own filters" - anyone has a clue what the factors are?

These packets were just found in the last 24 hours, they are new and have never been sent out before yesterday. Again, like I said besides that we have no information on anything else besides some unknown packets just started making request calls out of the blue and, as you say, have not been de-prot'd.
As with anything involving hacks, run your spoofs/bots at your own risk. But as of right now, the risk is slightly higher until we identify the packets. That's all this post is saying and was my entire point in posting it. It may or may not be the anti-cheat. It could just be gathering statistical data for use of their sponsored pokestop thing they have going. Or it could be the anti-cheat. The fact that ingress had a similar packet AND their server just became stable gives more credence to it being the anti-cheat, but again it could be nothing.

I mean so what if the accounts get banned ? they are free and we've botted them, we havent really lost anything! its just another shitty mobile phone app but this one has pokemon in it, if youve given them money more fool you

Banned
theyre servers are far from stable. I would say we have a while to bot before they come after us. they have other issues with hackers and such trying to get into theyre database every min of every day and that a 2million dollar each day company. you best believe theres over 20 hacker groups targeting them. its sad but thats the 100% truth.

Thanks for info!

Doesnt't mean they can't log info to do a ban wave later on. It wouldn't even be that hard to do as they probably can just use the one they had for ingress.

Thanks for the info stopped botting on the main account letting the others run free.
