edit: nope it deletes everything you have and gets you instantly perma-banned across all ip and hardware ids, should probably just pack up and move on

When they see 40,000+ people automating gameplay, I could see it being done to patch automation, add catches.

Might I remind you that 20+ news sites has picked up The "Show Pokemon on map" websites and those use API calls that isn't so different from this. Sure they will notice it eventually but right now I think those 500k + people using the maps are attracting attention.

i dont think they care a bit about cheaters

majority of legal players are not able to play the game due to server issue so cheaters are 0 problem right now when you think the major server problem

I changed Necro's version so that it transfers all pokemon with shitty CP, except for those in a whitelist. Transferring based on CP rather than type seems to make more sense to me because you can let it run for hours and get strong stuff instead of a full inventory of pokemon with CP you don't even care about. Haven't been able to test it yet because of the downtime though.

I'm going to side with you on this. Not to mention Pokemon go is insanely popular compared to Ingress and they are making money hand over fist even off the botters/cheaters.

I could see them maybe doing some ban waves after they've implemented trading and all that jazz but for now i'm sure they are just reaping the benefits.

well server problem is just an excuse if you think a ban wave will not come. look at ingress ingress and pokemon is almost the same app and works as almost as the same and niantic already have anti cheating features. wont be suprised if they do the ban wave the least you expect it since people is calm they think soft ban is just soft ban there is a lready a word BAN in soft ban so if they can do soft ban automatically how hard is it for them to do perma ban automatically also
