Unfortuanetly that version you need to be rooted. This is an un rooted version for ios.

I would root my phone but it's an updated s6 and there is no click one button root auto anymore and a pain in ass to root multiple steps and install setup...

Niantic did do some changes to pokestops and gyms when gen 2 was introduced (we have lost apokestop but gained a gym in town)
