How I got Lockito working with BlueStacks

my pokemon go opens then instantly closes at the niantic sceen. On the newest version of bluestacks it doesnt is there some kind of fix i can apply?

I have not tried it but you should test out Nox and you can actually get Lockito working on it too. I won't really follow the thread anymore as it's rather outdated and not the best method now!

Thanks so much for this guide is perfect other problems come down to a glitchy bluestacks. It was working great the first time I used it had a decent route around my town set up but it seems to Brick all the time now and I'm not doing anything differently, I've cleared caches, done full reinstall etc sometimes it goes for an hour or 2 other times it'll brick right away.

Is this something I'm doing or is it just bad luck? Cheers.

(I assume it's bricking, It's when the Android page just loads forever and restarting will just give a grey/black screen)

I honestly have no idea, I only compiled the information I found and have no idea how it actually works.

Give this a go and see if it works for you. I have not tested it on newer versions of BlueStacks as I was stuck with an endless loading screen for BlueStacks and this version was working for me.

I get this same problem, anyone know how to fix this? The map is pretty much unusable, can't tell where you are.

Good morning everybody. I'm writing while my Lockito is driving my dumbass avatar around pokestops. And I play on a Mac.

It's a dream come true. All I gotta do now is to pause the automatic walk whenever I have something interesting to do. A sound will apprise me. Otherwise the stupid avatar will continue walking and hatching eggs without forcing me to waste my precious golden time. So I'm writing here while the 'thing' keeps going.


I've been struggling for days in order to find out how to make this goddamn thing work. I've tried out Bluestacks but the screen got black. Then Genymotion but it stopped. Luckly the new 0.33 version of the game booted on Bluestacks.



I registered here only to write down a DEFINITIVE ADVICE for Mac Os X users trying to play the android version.


I'm running Bluestacks 0.9.30 which is the latest version for Mac. You all have to know that this infernality has a very useless and ****** Developer Settings menu as it DOES NOT show any "allow mock location" option. This is quite a pain in the ass since almost all GPS hacks rely upon this feature.

After tons and tons and tons….. and tons and tons… of research I discovered that in Bluestacks for Mac the "allow mock location" option is enabled by default. The bad news is that activating AND deactivating the Developer Settings menu will automatically turn off the option…… FOREVER……. and since every Bluestacks guide I've ran into advices to do that (useful for Windows users) the result for Mac users is accomplishing the worst possible mistake that may ever take place.

The only way to switch it on again is to uninstall and fresh reinstall Bluestacks. Which for a Mac user feels very unpleasant.

So do that…..reinstall...... and then DO NOT OPEN the developer settings menu ANYMORE. NEVER.

NOT EVEN THE CAPTION. BURY IT.


This is the major issue when facing Bluestacks for Mac. All the rest is trivial.

Bear in mind that Bluestacks 0.9.30 for Mac is prerooted so the only thing you gotta do is to install the "hide mock location" apk (along with Xposed to make it work) and the Lockito app. And Lucky Patcher as your favourite android manager. That's all.

I've not used "Mock Location" (which eventually bothered me by asking to install google maps…) and I wonder what's its purpose in the process.


Another easier step is about the GPS program installation as "system application". I attempted to install Lockito as system by Lucky Patcher but the program didn't show in the list. So I managed to install it straightforward as a common application and it ran without problems. Maybe because Bluestacks for Mac works differently from the one for windows.


A few days ago I made a system installation for Fake GPS by following the first old guide advicing…. and the GPS didn't work - probably because the mock location option was off due to the on-off issue, so the game recognized the fake GPS running. I now followed this new wonderful guide suggesting to use Lockito and it was breakthrough.

I attempted also to use Fly GPS (the joypad one) with allow mock location on but it didn't work. The only way to make the game find the GPS signal is to play the Lockito fake walk.

I may try to pause the walk and use Fly GPS to move by joypad upon the Lockito signal… but sincerely right now I don't feel the necessity. It's simply wonderful to keep carrying my beautiful life while the dumb avatar keeps walking by his own.
