    Scammer - Pepinios

    Ownedcore Name: Pepinios
    Skype Name: goro safas
Paypal Name: Pavel churcholiev / [email protected]
Ownedcore scam link: http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/mmo-trading-market/hearthstone-buy-sell-trade/448693-4-hearthstone-keys.html (4 hearthstone keys)

Case: Wanted to buy 2 of his allegedly 4 HS beta keys, started chatting on skype (picture below) and because we didn't have middleman I wanted to buy one and then the other.
He agreed. Money was sent and couple of seconds later he went offline and stopped responding.

Another guy in the same thread was scammed as well. Don't trade/sell/buy from this cheater.

Oh, sorry, first time I'm reporting here. Hope this is what you meant -
If you need any more info please ask. I know it's not a big scam, 7$ isn't much (glad I didn't paid the full amount from the start) but it's still a scam.

Maybe the screenshot he sent me can provide even more info. I'm not even sure I'll go the length of resolving the issue with paypal - just want this guy to be marked and exposed.

This is the screenshot (my info is blurred, sorry):

He is using same ip. Add to your report when doing dispute that they need to check the ip. As he is using unverified paypal accounts to move the money to main. If they can't find the ip because of proxies just send me a pm. I got his ip and he is banned from ownedcore.

Got a question regarding a dispute in paypal, as I haven't run into this kind of situation in all my years as a paypal user - is buying a key for a closed beta game is legal because if the answer is "no", then can I even have a dispute about something that is essentially not supposed to be bought/sold? and a follow-up question - do I need to specify what item I should have gotten when starting a dispute? Sorry if this is answered somewhere else.

It's not illegal to do virtual/digital trades over PayPal. But it is not protected under buyer/seller protection when you buy/sell virtual/digital goods.

    For example:

    1. Buyer pays the seller 15$ for a key.
    2. Buyer want to dispute the payment.
    3. PayPal will close the dispute in favor of the seller with reason:

The buyer will always lose when it comes to "Non-received" dispute or "Not as described" dispute with virtual goods, unless the buyer used a stolen PayPal and made "unauthorized payment".
