Did you use a middleman?: no

Explain what happened: I was trading him a hearthstone beta key for $90usd. I gave him the key and he claimed it was invalid and removed me from skype.

Not sure what to say to this,

He is correct that is my Skype and I did contact him about purchasing a hearthstone Beta Key. I talked to him in the PM, where I stated:

"I'm interested in purchasing the key, but I'd like to know how much are you looking for? I'd be willing to pay up to $90. If that is acceptable to you, can I have your skype so I can contact you for further details? I.E How would you like to go about doing the trade, if paypal is good for you, etc. My account is pretty reputable and I have been on Ownedcore doing trades for a while, so I most likely would not be inclined to paying first, but I am willing to make a compromise, but I just need to know all of the details!" (I can get a screen shot of this if needed).

We talked on Skype like he shows, and it was in-fact an invalid key that I was given. I was and have been selling a lot of Gil for Final Fantasy XIV and did not want to spend the time going back and forth on what I thought would turn out to be a potential scam, so I posted my gut-feelings about it in the thread which I had right in front of me, and moved on.I had enough problems dealing with new members in the past trying that, so I removed him from my contacts list. I never received (or should I say, never looked at) his messages after he re-posted the code, because I had already removed him from my contacts and was busy doing other transactions.

I'm not sure what evidence I can give in defense of myself, but whatever you request will be given. All I can really say is that the only "evidence" if you will take it, is that I have been a reputable seller for Diablo 3 Gold / Path of Exile and most recently I have gotten into Final Fantasy XIV. I have never scammed someone before, and never will scam anyone. I have left and received much feedback and have had great relationships with some well known buyers for these games, never had any problems at all.

Please let me know what else I need to do to move past this! I am not sure why this user has a vendetta against me.

What would be the point of instantly removing him. Why would you do that? He knew if he gave you an incorrect key you wouldn't pay him, so he went first knowing it was a working key. And then when the key was "invalid"(tried and worked), you remove him. yeah real believable bro.

As I stated, I did not want to have to deal with it. So after he gave me an invalid Key code I assumed "trying some type of scam" mentality in my head, told him I was going to post my gut feels on his thread, and removed him. I don't have time to deal with people when I'm trying to do a quick trade and busy selling other things to other people. I already stated why I did that. New account, low post count = In my head if anything at all goes wrong, just move on. And that's your opinion, their are many ways to try to scam people after giving something that doesn't work and then re-arranging the terms of the agreement (I.E me saying it doesn't work, he giving me the run-around about how I'm "shady" and he offers to give me a different code in exchange for me going half first, etc. Theirs many different possibilities, and I did not want to deal with them). I've had to deal with many people like this in similar situations while selling Diablo 3 Gold, and I have had enough of it.

"yeah real believable bro." Really defines your entire mindset right there. I could care less if YOU believe me or not, I care what the person who has power over this cares about. Anyway, I'm not going to check this thread every few hours to see if someone posted an update, so if there is any more information or anything else needed from me, please send me a PM. If you need, I'm sure I can find you many references from this forum that will back me up and state that we have had many successful trades together.

Edit: I'm not an idiot, if I was REALLY trying to scam him do you think I would simple remove him from contacts and move on? It's obvious it doesn't look great on my part doing that and if I had any intention of actually scamming him, I would have dragged the conversation on and made more of a "show" out of it to make him look like a scammer. But I didn't. You can believe what you want, you are entitled to your own opinion, but please be respectful if you are going to post at all so we can have a meaningful conversation.

Any smart scammer would fight for his right to stay on the forum to keep his business going like you, and possibly scam more when the time comes. I did not just "leave it" as you said, I never even viewed his messages (as I stated in my earlier post) until I saw this morning that he posted a thread that I scammed him, which is when I replied. If I just left it, I would not be replying now. How was I to know that he would accuse me of scamming him when I did not? You did not state I was an idiot, but you made me sound like one by your post.

I've been constantly checking this thread every 30 minutes - 1 hour even though I said I wouldn't because I DO in-fact care about my account. Why would I bother scamming someone for a measly $90 when I used / use my account to sell hundreds of $$ daily? I can't give you any solid evidence that I DID not scam him, because there is none I could possibly give, but I'm trying to make you see reason as best I can with what I have done in the past / do now with my account. I could have easily scammed others for much more than this, and I never have and never will. If I was out to scam, why would I waste my "scam attempt" and then possibly get banned on this and not look for bigger stakes? I'm just throwing things out there now to try to get you to see a little bit from my point of view.

I'm not sure how ONE screenshot of our conversation, of me sending him messages that it was an invalid code and that I was posting on his thread that it WAS an invalid code, of my removing him from my contacts and then him sending me those messages, adds up to "a lot more clear than you are stating." In my first reply and second reply to you, I addressed both of those concerns as I possibly could.

And all of my reputation was gained (and I had more of it, not sure if it degrades or something) from trading before trade feedbacks were introduced, and they were how people used to show "trade feedback" None if it was from a shoutbox or anything else, you can check my post history or even look at how my reputation was gained (some of it) to confirm that. You can also confirm that I do in fact have many happy customers that left me positive feedback (mostly when I was selling Diablo 3 Gold), even though most of the time I contacted them instead of them contacting me (especially the high-profile buyers that bought most of my gold), I did have a few threads.

After quick looking at this thread i can say both of you guys are wrong for not doing this without middleman. It would save you guys a lot of headache and me too. Will start an investigation about this. But i can already say now the chance that any of you guys are going to get banned for scamming is small. As you guys ignored using a middleman and these stuff happens a lot with HS keys.

But without already closing this case i will start my investigation.

Of course that is up to you to believe, but him receiving an infraction for it is something he deserves if he is going to put up false / made up information to try to help me. In my defense, without of course any evidence, I know how easy it is to track IP addresses over forums and to check for multiple accounts, so their is no way I would ever put him up to this.

Tell that friend of yours to behave because from the mails i am getting from him crying about his infraction if he don't stop it he will receive more. We don't want people to spam the threads he is a scammer. If you don't post proof you get infractions. And the way he talks to mods or at least me shows no respect at all for all the time i put in this investigation and questions the mods their intelligence...

To share of what happened here in this investigation. The guy that reported it wanted to sell the key and wanted to 90dollar for it. So he went first gave the key and got no money in return. Who in his right mind that scams that sells a key would go first if he knows the key is not good anyway... seriously makes no sense from the guy that reported it and you raventear.

My main reason for looking up Scoops if he was a scammer what would he benefit from it? Is he competition, does he want to frame you etc, and non of that showed up in the investigation. So it's better to drop this because how it looks now that you actually took the key from him. That skype chat says the key is already used. I dealt with a lot of scammers and they been saying that too posting screenshot of them saying that. But that is not proof and that's why my advice to use a middleman. To save your self a headache and me because the chances to get scammed not using middleman are pretty much 80% now.

Edit: Just banned that friend of yours after i adviced him to stop pming crying about his 3 infraction points. Because the reason is valid that he posted in the guy his thread without posting proof and posting his mail for everybody to see. He can't even have a normal conversation with someone... sigh
