I lol'd at the "possible banwave?" in the title. For some reason a few hundred bans after the holidays strikes more more as spring cleaning then a banwave. I have been there when sites where crashing due to the number of people logging in after banwaves, this is not one.

The title is a hypothetical. In news, it's meant to draw in readers, but the "?" indicates that there is only a possibility, if that.

An example of what Aphel is saying:

"Are the Australian floods an early sign of the 2012 predictions?"

It's not indefinite that yes in fact they are the signs of 2012, it's mean't to bring in audiences and cause discussions.

How much did you get for that HB / GB banwave thread, and who paid you ?

    "Honorbuddy is against the ToS"
    - as any other bot out there ....

"Ban reporting incidence has increased greatly since last week"
    - as all other bots did due to blizzard cleaning up ...

"Clusters of users on both US and EU servers have been banned within recent days for use of the program."
    - and clusters of users have not been, as also have been other users been for botting with other bots

"There is no evidence that Honorbuddy or Gatherbuddy are currently detected on Warden, but that could change any time"
    - as with any other bot, at least the ones which do have any warden protection, there aren't that much out there

Next time you write an article, maybe you should check for the difference of an Suspension and an Ban, as most of the player reports which we do have at thebuddyforum.com are 3 day suspension.

I don't believe you are correct. As soon as they "know" that its detected, you will no longer be able to bot. They will shut off the servers and probably make a post about it. Honorbuddy has some fairly decent anti-warden things.

I just wonder how they would get away with this, it's almost a financial crime to ban a customer due him/her using vendors for profit not affecting the realm-wide market.
this does hurt the game economy, when you turn around and use the gold you botted and made from vendering things to buy stuff off the AH.. which is given to the player you bought it from the gold you just botted...

I've been in multiple banwaves, Glider, ISXWoW and others.. This is not one of them. But when the future banwave comes. It will come hard and fast and cover almost everyone.

Spreading false information on the frontpage of a big MMO forum? That's not okay nor fair really.
When posting articles, you really, really should look up your facts before publishing it. In this case: look up what a banwave is, cause I think you misunderstood the purpose of the "word".

and maybe u should read the article NOWHERE is it said that it is a banwave, just that we have seen an increase of 72hour bans / suspensions on HB/GB forums, which we have.
