Being on a mac doesn't mean you won't get infected. Especially considering how the virus was transmitted, and some things being pre-installed on the mac, others being picked up just to view specific website things.
So unless you have never browsed youtube(which is obvious you have considering the "blogs" or needed to utilize java "see above". Unless your mac is just a paperweight, it still could have become infected iirc.
Just because it's a mac doesn't mean it's safe, the platform is just targeted less overall.(hurp durp inb4ds)

the chances for this infection he would have been infected are the same as mine.
but i'll let you keep thinking your safe on the mac, being less targeted doesn't mean you are safer overall.. you're just a bystander who has the same chance to get mugged as you walk by the crime.

I reboot my machine and didn't click anything when I got the popup, as I knew that must be a virus.

ah so that was the thing saying my browser needed updated.
i x-ed it off so should be ok.
Turns out the things I had whera virus. I don't know if it was from this site or not, but i never got a popup saying my browser needs updating![]()
