I was thinking about separate channels for different usergroups, currently I gave staff their own team channel.. and if i was to have 2 shout bawx's installed on the site it would slow down dramatically... I figure I'd have to destroy the staff channel and give it to contributors and up.. not something I'm ready to do just yet.. However I may raise post count required of donators to view the shout bawx just to make sure they know the rules of the site before anything else.

Well...Im not for this. I donated because I cant earn rep(yes i deserve to be called a leecher) and to see contrib section(now closed cant see their leet thing) remove the SB and donation will only go to get the ME fix.This is my point of view. Why everyone should pay for some moron who dont know how to live?

tbh the shoutbox is fine as it is, we just need to crack down on rule offenders... 1st time offence -25 rep + 5 day sb ban, second time offence -25 rep + 14 day ban 3rd time -50 rep and perm sb ban

I'm with KuRIoS on this one.
The staff channel shouldn't be removed as it adds to the staffs ability to communicate and work as a team.
Bagging/flaming/advertising is against the rules and the rules also apply to the shout box as well, therefore it gives every staff member the authority to punish such actions.
I do realize that most of the staff has been taking it easy on donators within the shout box, but this can change very fast if some members start abusing the staff members kindness.
I also totally disagree with the original post as it is a rather immature generalization of an entire group which holds hundreds of members now (you can't punish an entire group for the actions of a few careless members).
This is a message to all members who are in the Contributors group (and up), don't forget that if you're still able to get free exploits, hacks, guides, its because donators are paying the fees for you (the MMOwned hosting isn't free you know).
