    Thread Decay Option

There seems to be alot of people posting Reposts, or extremely useless threads. And I figure this would be a way to get rid of some of them.

It would sort of be like adding +Rep to someone. But instead your clicking a button on a user to get a thread removed. And if enough people request it to be deleted, it gets moved to a new possible new thread section named "Useless Stuff" or something of the sort.

Im not sure if this is already taking place w/ moving/deleting useless threads by the Admin.

Just throwing some idea's out there.

Better option (I think) would be that if enough people down-vote it, it gets turned into a 'Moderated' thread, where a Moderator can approve or delete it, and nobody else can see it.

A 'trial' time for this feature would be best IMO, to see if it would be abused by the jerks of the internet. If it works okay, keep it.

    Meh.

    Re: Thread Decay Option

No one likes reposts, except the reposter who reposts to be hatd by everyone who hates reposts, which I just stated, would be everyone.

    I agree with Errage.

I really dont think that the moderator's will want to approve every single thread that is being made. If that is where your coming from. Hence why I thought having people vote "No - repost - waste post" or w/e the thread would automatically get moved to X forum section. If not just deleted.

    Correct me if im wrong.

    Re: Thread Decay Option

    Except:

-I am a moderator, I have no problem with checking threads to approve them
-Nobody would go to 'section X'
-People would spam all the content on MMOwned with downvotes from other sites, just to be idiots, etc. and there goes perfectly good content.

(Also, after being approved, they can't be downvoted again, perhaps?)
