World News Section

I know that a lot of forums have a section dedicated to news. Ownedcore has a section that is dedicated to gaming news and such, but I am thinking that there wouldn't be any harm in having a section where we are able to post news/events happening around the world. I would personally post things that I find interesting around the web on a semi-daily basis.

Anyways, what do you guys think?

+1 I also think this could be a good idea considering it could contain both general technology news and important world news that we could discuss about.

Could be named News and Happenings or something along those lines. I think it'll bring a little bit of the "outside world", rather then just gaming to this community.

Would have to discuss it with HI5 and those folks, but I wouldn't mind having a forum for just around the world news and such. Not sure where it would be placed though, since the Site News forum is more for anything Ownedcore related things, so dunno if it would be appropriate to place a subforum there or elsewhere.

Could be an interesting section, but if this section would become official, it'll be placed in the off-topic section of the forum (the bottom part)

The thing is that we don't allow political and/or religious discussions as they tend to get outta hand VERY fast!

Isn't this site already about that? Well, a bit more 'bout gaming, but has some technology too.
Remember the whole FPSowned and RTSowned merging thing? Well, I haven't seen any FPS or RTS (articles) discussions on the frontpage since then. :/
