Delete the scam tutorial forum

Why the **** do you have a forum for people to teach each other how methods to scam and at the same time have treads like this and this stickied and provide an ID verification service?? It's a disgusting double standard of the worst kind. I don't even understand why you condone scamming in the first place. You even have the audacity to call the subforum "scam prevention". Yea, I won't donate more money when these 3 months are up, I just can't donate to a site that supports scamming.

Pre-2009. To delete it = google hates the living be-jusus out of the site, a lot of members here would lose post count, and etc.

Considering after 2009 the forum was changed to preventative scam section, where the scams were there are detailed guides of HOW the scams worked and you the user can understand this and prevent yourself from doing business if you see something fishy.

So no, you are just not using the old scam forum for what its after use is for. A database of scams and trickery to arm yourself against the very same things.

What exactly am I ignorant about, or what should I read? I see a subforum that teaches people how to scam, that's what it is no matter how you look at it, and that's all I need to know to understand something's wrong. I don't give a rat's ass if the subforum was worse before, I care about how it is today, and it's bad. Why the **** would it matter how it was before?

Since 2009, the change was done to move away from harming others, and was kept as a resource for what the scammer was doing to you during a trade, READING this shit will help you understand wtf is going on and how you can combat it. If you are such a nincompoop to not comprehend that, its your loss. I use it daily to spot and keep track of trades that don't feel right and what do you know.... it's saved my as more often than i care to count.

to reiterate: its a resource to understanding HOW these scams 1) work, 2) are completed and 3) common effing sense to avoiding them..

Trololo there was a post back in 2009 or so where Matt, Ket or KuR explained why the scam forum closed, since it had gotten out of hand, as you can see yourself. The "scam forum" was originally made as a place where you could trick others INGAME for small amounts of gold (like giftwrapping scam/casinos etc), it later shifted and the staff here made a mistake by looking through fingers with it, UNTILL 2009.
It caused an outrage and a lot of the members here were angry that the forums were shut down - a lot of members left as well.. After a public discussion, with the members here and other trade site admins, like MarkeeDragon, it was obvious that the ruthless scam forum would now serve best as a database of scams and how they were done (As Remus3 said).
Don't mind KuR's reply, I played him last night in AoE 2 and slaughtered his ass, and that was around 10 hours ago, so that is perhaps why his reply was a bit intolerant :P I would think that he means the news post about the scam section for you to read, though it is impossible to find with this search system :P

So YOU may want it gone, but as Remus said, look at it as a database that you should skim if you are about to be trade. The users and the other Traders in the wow world agreed that it was a good thing to keep it, maybe try to see the good in keeping it, like they do.
