The exploration section needs some love.s

Hi, i'm aware that this thread is breaking the rules of this forum but i couldn't find how to ask this elsewhere.

The exploration section if my favorite forum of all the exisiting forums on the internet. That's why I care so much about it and i'm suggesting this.

Here is the list of the actual mods of the exploration forum.
I'm sure they do an amazing job at moderating but i must say i don't see them on the exploration forum as much as i would like.
In fact, besides Jchunx who recently moved two threads in the exploit section to the exploration section, i've never saw them actually doing anything in this part of OwnedCore.

The only mod that seems to visit this section and really care about it, is Xel.
As you can see in my lastest post here : http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...on-dead-2.html i've notice 6 threads on the first page of the section that needed moderation (two of them were closed yesterday, thanks kurios).
That was just the first page.


I remember a time where Xel would close every thread without TAGS or reposts. The forum looked clean then. Now reposts aren't closed anymore, threads that doesn't belong to this section aren't moved away and useless stuff aren't deleted/closed.
Other examples that comes to my mind (i would gladly make a list for you if needed):

So i was wondering if you could spend more time in this section or assign more mods to it or even recruiting new ones ?

Please be aware that i don't want to flame or say that the actual mods are bad. I can understand that they don't have much time to spend there and that they'd rather check for new stuff on the Exploit / Model edit section. All i want is some love for the exploration section *_*
And correct me if i'm wrong about the actual moderation of this forum, i would be really happy to see that you, in fact, care about it but that's not really what i'm seeing now

Just as a side note: Xel actively explores, the rest of us don't even play WoW beyond botting. = we have no interest or gains to actually go through each thread for a given area.
for the last 300 unique reported threads/posts; I did go one by one and check for exploration forum only threads, this dates from 9/29/2011.

The rest are primarily in order of prominence... exploits, guides, bots and programs sections, other various sections. We largely work from what is reported as we do other things. It's a nonpaid job so we aren't required to be busy bee's and groom each section unless we get a wild hair.
-- just telling things as I see them. Could it use some members reporting and mainting to help the staff? yes.
As for activity in the sections/forum:
merfed, is a helper/ can only report and infract ban spammers.
unholy is heavily invested in school, cant say much more than his "area" is the guides.
jchunx recently got back from personal leave for personal problems that exist irl.
zoid is a global mod, he is on occassionally
i'm still reeling from my personal problems and took a leave for the past 2 weeks
gz is on occassionally.


-- it's not a matter of new mods or people ignoring the threads, it comes down to: interest held isnt there so its not looked at unless a report has been created and if you/someone the reporter is pleased with the result. i bounce from reports and the general area and clean up spam as i see it created. Is this my own defense, sure it could be seen as that but i dont want it to be.

i want to extend the invitation to help us help you guys, there's a reason the exploit section gets so much love, its because of the 300 reports ~150+ are from there and allows us to venture into those threads and fix the problem if we are able to.

---- as for multiple reporting and it not being dealt with, i'm not sure; however i would like to state, usually bringing a matter like this to a forum mod on within the last 2 days, about how something is unresolved... it will get resolved if done nicely.

dont get me wrong yes i personally think this thread is within the realm of notification but as you state in essence. we are human

the best way is to always private message us, creating posts and threads only hasten a response and get yourself in trouble that could have been avoided if a private message was done. I personally keep my inbox clear from being maxed out solely for this reason.. always have.

Well i'm sorry.
I never use the report button because i though it would signal a problem with the poster and i don't want any trouble for someone who try to contribute.
I know i should have PM someone but i couldn't decide who, kurios? you? zoidberg ? So i posted it here to ensure that the right person will see it.

Thanks for your answer and detailed explanations. Even if it's sad (for me) that you have "no interest or gains to actually go through each thread for a given area", i can understand it, so be sure i'll use the report button more often now to help you help us. Thanks again.
