[Request] Heroes of Newerth Forum

Greetings Fellow mmowned members


1.) appetizer

I have been playing "Heroes of Newerth" for about 1½ year (Sinces the beta invites)
And it is for sure one of the most balanced games i've ever played. Heroes of Newerth have developed from 10.000 beta invites into 260.000 players on weekly basis.

This game will definitely be enjoyed by the most players who have been into:
- World of Warcraft
- Warcraft 3
- Starcraft 1 and Starcraft 2


2.) What is Heroes of Newerth?


Heroes of newerth is basicly a game based on the well-known map from Warcraft 3; Dota.
i played dota since generation 3.0 and i've been very satisfied with Heroes of Newerth. In the beggining i was a bit skeptical about the "big change" but i got used to it very fast.

The game is based on 3 different setups:
1v1
3v3
5v5

You can customies the maps to play either 2v2 or 4v4 too. It is possible

You can kinda draw a line diagonally across the map, and each site are almost identical.
On each site their is 5 different spots of "Neutral Creeps" and 1 spot of "Ancient Creeps" Its called the forest. (Some heroes is made for foresting, this can bring your team either advance or **** the lanes up)

In a normal Match Making Game you will play 5v5, their is 3 phases you have to be aware of:
- The picking phase
The picking phase talks for itself. You gotta pick the hero your going to play through this single game. There are 5 different picking methodes, same as in dota with a few changes.

- Remake Phase
This is the phase between 0:00 - 7:00 of the game minuts. Yours and your enemies have the possibility to remake the game, either by someone disconnects, or really bad picks which happend a bit often depending on your rating (N00BS you know :P)

- The Game itself
After 7:00 minuts you play to either the Legion or The Hellbourn's shrine is destroyed.

It is possible for a team to concede after 15 minuts, this accure every 3-4th game since the stats can be: 15 - 3 kills to the legions. Then we do not need much brain to figure out who loses in the end anyway. It is possible for some teams to get back on course if they have some crazy lategame hero (Chronos) is a good examble.



The ranking system is the same as in World of Warcraft. You start at 1500 rating, and win about 3-7 rating each win depending on your team AND opponents rating. Its easy to figure out, and you will get used to it very fast


3.) My Suggestion


I would like to have a 'Heroes of Newerth' Forum in the "Other mmo games" section. I will on behalf of MMowned's Heroes of newerth players ask for this section to open for discussion between the MMowned admins

Another game just like Dota. Along with the million others people have made lol. imo if there was a forum for every game like this the page would be endless.
