    Bots & Programs Reviews/Guides

Now before you delete this just read the following reasons about why I reckon there should be this section added or another section modified for this board.

    1) Whilst the Bots & Programs section's main intent is for people to post exactly that, bots & programs, it would appear that it is really a board for threads related to bots and programs.
Currently we have the main board where programs are posted, then a sub-forum for coding which is related to Bots & Programs and then a QUESTIONS & REQUESTS sub-forum which contains no code/programs but rather peoples questions of the like.

Now if you think about it logically, if you want to ask a question about bots or the like, you don't go to Emulator Questions/Requests you go to the bots and programs requests, similarly if you're wanting answers to your questions, or opinions on a particular bot then you wouldn't go looking in the WoW Guides forum, you'd go straight to the bots and programs section.

    2) There seems to be a large amount of inconsistencies with where reviews/guides to do with bots go. If you look in the B&P board you'll immediately see a sticky listing guides that went out of date 2+ years ago that's really of no help any more, and you'll find the odd review or guide strewn throughout the section as well.

On the other hand a lot of the quality guides get moved to the WoW guide section. Whilst this makes sense, if you think about it this section is known for guides on "How to earn 1000g in 30 seconds" or "X's extremely quick levelling guide" etc. The average user is probably not going to go searching that section for a guide/review on a bot but rather head straight to B&P.

This is a bit of a problem as you can look at the B&P Questions/Reqs and see half the questions are asking what the best bot is etc. when somewhere in the dark depths of the WoW guides section there will be a thread detailing on what bot suits such a persons needs and would answer many of the questions being posted in Questions/Reqs, these answers just aren't being found because they're not posted in the logical location.

    3) We have a questions/requests sub-forum in B&P, isn't it logical to also have a new sub-forum or extend the current Q/R sub-forum to allow people to post answers in the form of reviews/guides.

I hope you read the points above before choosing to close this as it makes complete logical sense to add this sub-forum or extend the Q/R sub-forum to allow for reviews/guides.

    It would benefit users:
    - They'd actually find threads relevent to their questions and help them make an informed decision
    - People would be more motivated to help educate others knowing that the guide they spend hours writing up isnt going to be moved to some place that no one will ever see.

It would benefit those writing the reviews/guides:
    - They know that their thread will actually be in a place that other people will find and not just plain ignore, thus having motivation to actually help educate fellow MMOwned members

    It would benefit mods/staff:
    - There'd be a set/obvious spot for these sorts of threads, no longer will there be threads of relevant topics scattered all over the forum and mods being unsure where a particular thread belongs
    - Less people asking the same questions over and over because they have an obvious spot to look

That's about it! Please read the above points before making a decision!

reviews about bots & programs DO NOT belong in B&P section originally, however if we find the review/guide to be thrurough then we will move it there.. but we do not allow reviews there since many create, no offence, crappy reviews. B&P would be full of threads like
http://www.mmowned.com/forums/world-...pwn-boxer.html <- which was originally posted in B&P (sorry jorgen for using your thread)

Ye that's why I was thinking maybe more along the lines of allow them to be posted in questions and requests, would sort of make sense. Also extensive guides don't generally stay in b & p from experience they just seemed to get moved straight to WoW guides.

Don't wanna plug my own thread but it's a good example, was in B&P briefly, everyone found it useful, gets moved to WoW guides and not touched again, that thread itself and many others would be the answer to the majorities questions in Q/R.

Not trying to suggest this just so people can find my guides etc. I've seen lots of peoples threads get moved there and just not touched.
