Reduce Facebook Icon...-ness

I understand you want people to see it, so maybe put it by the search form or so. Right now, it's very distracting with it's bright blue on dark background... And well it overpowers the whole design either way (brighter than anything on the forum design)

I don't mind if it's bright in the search area or so, cause yeah I'll see it but I won't be forced to see it on the left side while trying to read. It's very annoying :/

Its there to be seen. The forum has blue in it as well if you didn't notice. Facebook colours are blue...
It takes up about 50x80px of your 22" screen. Who cares.

But probably add an option to disable it if you've joined the group or something?

Seemingly quite some people. It's not the fact that it's there. It's the fact that it's following and distracting.

That said, not everyone has the ability to adblock it. Nor should that be 'the' solution.

Unless your monitor has a resolution of 800x600 or smaller, it's really not even noticeable. I barely notice it while browsing the site.
