Suggestion - 18+ Section - No rules

It is an interesting suggestion but those who have been on MMOwned for a while like me sort of automatically think "sadly no".

Simply because it deviates too much away from what this website is about, and it will also chow bandwidth.
It will encourage a more adult - but inappropriate in front of children - behavior, you can picture accidental side comments about something found within the adult section coming up in the shout-box, in signatures, people become more daring with their Avatars, and so on.

Simply put it can be abused too easily.

However my one recommendation if this sort of thing does happen is create a certain benchmark level to get in, such as contributor or donator (as most donators are adults presumably) etc.

No, most of the donators are people who got their parents to donate so they can get free elite guides, sadly enough : /

Tbh, I'm surprised this suggestion is still up for debate here. Already suggested and denied folks, if they didn't like something like this then, I doubt they will now.

There will be some pretty strict rules in there. (No porn (of any kind or age), no racist stuff, etc.)

Think of it more as a flame forum, or a place for those (who are mature enough) to hang out and talk about just about whatever they want.

Lolcats, motivationals, etc, are all allowed in that section, and that section only.

Sure, the staff will have to actually moderate it a bit more (and yes; there will be an age restriction), but it'll help serve those of us who aren't within the 12-16 age range.

We're moving in a new direction (in case you couldn't tell). And we're trying to accommodate a few things at once. One of which has been growing requests for somewhere to just 'let loose'. Off-topic is nice. But it doesn't allow the freedom that a site with over 1mil posts, and 500k members needs.

People will have issues with the changes. Others will hate them. You'll just have to live with it.
