[Banned] Open up the username?

Hey.
If someone gets banned add for example -BANNED directly behind their name so it changes their username, and it opens up for new people joining mmowned.
Yeah the could be confusion wether or not it's the old member or the new member but if he/she has 0 rep/posts it could be sorta obvious imo

If I were to permaban spomeone, it would add -BANNED to their username (ie: Dragonshadow-BANNED) thus allowing the name to be used by newly registered members and/or namechanges.

This was my suggestion for MMOwned and I thank you for reading it

I think he means that If I was banned My name would no longer be "TuFF" it would be "BANNED-TuFF" So that any new member on MMOwned could register under the username "TuFF".

Tbh i don't think its a good idea because people would get confused and think that the original user (That aparently got banned) was the new member (That registered in the original users name)

Ugh this is confusing me just typing it.

Now what if someone lets say TuFF for the sake of example is banned. It would then say "BANNED-TuFF"

Now another member registers under TuFF, and then in the future THAT member gets banned. Then what... we just have a lot of banned TuFF's running around?

Say Tuff gets banned and since its not discussed people who dont visit as often dont know. Now a new user is named tuff and goes scamming because people dont know the difference. maybe after a year or something add -banned.

Exactly. Aswell, users contest their bans from time to time with legitimate reasons. If they want their account back, then there is this whole weird who gets to keep what name. Also It would be pretty confusing for the system id think, someone good with vbulletin would have to confirm that. But the confusion of identity is the main issue.
