    Cache Files

    Summary:
A section of MMOWNED where cache files for new patches can regularly be found shortly after any patch.

    Reasoning:
Recently after every patch a lot of people (some of the MMOWNED browsers for sure) can not login in areas of a high population density. This seems to be caused by a torrent of information trying to be forced through the router all at once. Blizzard is trying to populate the World of Warcraft Cache with things like item stats/specifics, character names, npc's, and any other articles it deems relevant to your location at that given time.

If I/We had a reliable source for our cache files other then Blizzard, I/We would not be faced with multiple (30+) router crashes before our cache is populated enough to play.

    Details:
    Warcraft Forums - Research

    Specifics:
The folder I would love to be able to get is the WDB folder found directly under the cache.

World of Warcraft > Cache > WDB > enUS

    Thanks:
I would like to thank anyone in advance for reading this, maybe if this does not even become a solid addition, someone may take on the task of uploading their cache come patch day. Thanks.

    EDIT:
So after reading Gastricpenguin's post i have decided this is too exclusive, and could be covered by a sticky somewhere... instead of this exclusive file, a WoW folder file request section for developers etc. to gather info.

Good idea, however, does not deserve it's own forum/subsection

    fair enough.

but a section for miscellaneous WoW files would be appreciated, maybe even a strong resource for developers... so as opposed to that, a WoW file request section?

Setting up an SVN for enUS/enGB/Etc could work for this, but I don't know how you would go about preventing the "cache pool" from being contamination with emu server shit.
Look at your post, now back to mine; Now back to your post, now back to mine. Sadly, it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate content, it could look like mine. Look down, backup, where are you? You're scrolling through threads, reading the post your post could look like. What did you post? Back at mine; It's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again and the reply is now diamonds.

if i knew more about repositories other then how to use them to grab shit i need i might offer help here... but the updates are few and far between but i think this is something even blizzard should be getting a handle on, not just a "cheating" community. now we just need some bouncing tits in this thread for the word on the street.
