    Support forum

MMOwned has it's fair share of computer experts. I think it would be a good idea for have a forum dedicated to provide support for people who are having issues with their computer, a popular program that many people use, or how they should build their next pc.

I know it doesn't have a whole lot to do with Wow but neither does the programing section(s). It would provide new people with a great way to contribute and earn their rep by doing something that actually helps someone in a realistic way, not just how to get on top of a building ingame so your e-peen can rise as people gaze at you in Wow glory.

    Expecting:
    "General section
    /closed"

But I think a good amount of members would enjoy this section as there are a good amount of members that enjoy helping others.

I actually believe that this is a very good idea. There are so many computer-related help requests and questions all over the site. A Computer Support section would stop all the other forums from being cluttered with computer questions.

It'll just become empty and no-one will use it.

People were so hyped up about the d2/3 section, there were only a couple of good contributers for that, many wrote up guides and got no recognition.

If people want Computer Support, I'm sure there are many forums based around that aspect which will be far more helpful than the fraction of MMOwned that are not 12 years old.

Ok, there is a bit of a difference. How many of the people here cared about diablo? A good portion of mmowned is here for Wow that couldnt care less about any other game. So that narrows down I would say half of the users that care about diablo.

Now, how many of us are using computers and don't know every single thing about them? 100%

Everyone could use help on something. You won't see in the SB "Who knows about [application here] that could help me out for a bit?" anymore because there is a forum for that. It also creates an archive for help. After a while people can search their problem and there will be topics that people started that had/have the exact same problem(s) and can easily find that persons solution and apply it to themselves.

Theres nothing really negative about it other then "will people use it" and if they don't, remove it. But it will take away some of the questions being posted in the wrong sections because people don't have a place for their question.

EDIT: not to mention it's not convenient to use a bunch of different forums when you dont have to. It would be much better to get help from people you know or have been around on this forum then going to a brand new one not knowing what level of help you will get.
