I am a new user here, and appreciate all the useful information i find. However, I also find it somewhat confusing as to where the appropriate place is to create a post. For example, I have created a custom weapon and wanted to share it with this site, and perhaps collect some suggestions or comments about it. I chose to post in the World of Warcraft Emulated Server Discussions under the World of Warcraft Emulator Server general chat section because my post was not: a release, guide, program, server, or exploit. The very first comment I get is "Wrong section."
Ok, what were my other choices? Granted I am new to the private server scene, but at a glance down the list of Section titles,, if there is a specific section for player created items to be inserted into a game, then I clearly missed it. Ithis is a reoccurring issue for me when attempting to be an active member of your site...always the first comments I get are about how I have posted in the wrong section. Kinda makes me feel like I shouldn't even bother to try to share anything I have discovered for fear for posting incorrectly even after taking a look to see where the best option may be. Luckily for your site, I am a Taurus and am very determined and stubborn!
My suggestion is simple and could keep others from just clicking the little red square with the X on it, like I almost did...create a site map on where particular things are to be posted. Your new users will have a better experience and be able to post with confidence without fear of immediately being ridiculed.
P.S. I searched for a site map before I posted this, so if it is there you may add that to the list of "obvious" things I have missed.
