    Change /bump rules

A few months back I did a search for Demonoid invites, I found a give away thread. I posted in the thread asking for a code, I did not even bother looking how old it was. Needless to say, SOMEONE reported me, adn I recieved 2 infractions.

I believe there are two types of /bumps:
    1. The original thread creator /bumps the thread to recieve more views/rep. Or a friend, somthing of the sort by saying "/bump" - I have even seen elite members do it.. Shame.

    2. Actual inquires to the post, like my demonoid code request.

Now, there has to be in reason and looked into of course, if one is reported to determine what type of bump it is.

Maybe there should be 1 warning before infractions, or somthing.

I am not complaining that I got infractions, It was months ago and tbh, I don't even care. I was more pissed that the jerk bragged that he reported me in the thread (Proves that he is how old he says he is).

There already is a bump infraction. :P
    I think.
I forgot. Long time since I was a mod.

Anyway, it's against the rules already.

I disagree. The problem is bumping old, old threads. If someone bumps a 3 month old thread, they deserve an infraction, unless it is a sticky or something.

What if someone bumped a 1 month old thread that had something very useful that still hasn't been reposted? For example, Say Person A created a thread a month ago, with a exploit that was so godly, but started to fade away, then Person B, bumps it since he feels people who haven't seen/just joined need to see it, I agree with OP in the end!

    Godly exploits don't fade away.

    They get patched.

Now this is odd. Yes in fact I have seen elites bump thier own thread with out repercussions. I made an angry comment on my own thread which I ended up deleting because someone called it bumping and reported me. Needless to say I deleted the thread because I didn't feel like dealing with that sort of bs. Anyway the point of this rant is that high rank members should not be exempt from the rule already in place that lower ranks have to suffer through if said "contributer" or higher says oh yes its bumping OMG infraction.
The devil has a bullet with his name on it.

Another thing that should be changed to bumping is that is should be allowed to the trade section imo. Bit hard to sell/trade stuff if you are only allowed to make 1 thread and when the trade/sale is still not done you're pretty much screwed and have to go to another site if you don't want to break the rules
