I'm currently running a computer with:
Intel i5 2500k
12gb ddr3 ram
GTX 660 gfx card
Up until recently i was mostly a console gamer, only playing my mmos (WoW, Secret World) on my PC.
I've decided to start playing most of my games on PC but when i tried to play The Witcher is was evident i'm due for an updgrade.
So my two main questions are;
1. Is overclocking my cpu going to help my gaming at all? It's currently at factory settings and i know this cpu is able to be overclocked quite a bit.
2. Am i better off SLI'ing my 660 or is it too outdated and not worth it.
I can get a 660 for about $100~ or i can sell mine for about 100~ and just get a newer card instead.
The main benefit i see to getting a second 660 and SLI is that i do run multiple monitors/use multiple workstation programs and another HDMI+DVI on a second card would be nice
I've seen conflicting information on the web about the 660's ability to do 3 way SLI also and would like know if anyone knows for certain about that.
My budget is going to be approximately 250$ if a new card is the right choice, and any suggestions would be appreciated so i can take a look.
Thanks in advance
