So who's ready for Dark Souls II on PC?

I for one am. Was disappointed to hear that it was going to be almost 2 months away from the console release.

I am glad to see that it's actually worth getting over console though. Compared to the abomination of a port with Dark Souls I.

Can someone explain to me (Someone who has never played a dark souls game) What all the hype around it is? I hear about it on most videos/podcasts i watch. Doesnt seem that interesting to me but maybe i need to try it out

You should really try it out. Find a pirated version and try the game out. If you like it, please buy it to support the developers. It's a difficult, but rewarding game.

PvP is fun as hell. I put around 300 hours into the first one and just stopped playing due to getting too busy.

Basically in the sea of mediocre piss easy games here comes the island of effort or gtfo. Effort not only in the difficulty of beating the mobs and bosses but also the story. With a world in which story is not told in long sequences and quest texts but the world you play in. The scenery, the mobs you encounter, the items you find. It doesn't lay everything before you but lets you explore and puzzle it together yourself. The world is furthermore heavily interconnected, during the game you constantly open new pathways and gain new understanding how exactly the whole world fits together.

Honestly the pc port of dark souls was shit, horrible controls, console graphics with shitty textures but the game itself was so good pc players still enjoyed playing it. That alone should tell you about the quality of the game. Im sure dark souls 2 will be good if they fixed the controls this time.

Pretty much sum's it up lol. Love DS serious, just hate the damn port. It literally required you to have mods to enjoy the experience it was meant to have.

Same. I just wish they make the controls better in this one because ds1 was piss poor when it came to its controls.

ZOMG it's sooooo good. It looks gorgeous and it runs at 60 fps so it is nice and smooth.

Now I can see why they didn't release this at the same time as consoles, no one would have bought the console version.
