My list:
Batman:AA(Arkham Asylum)
PRO:
- Extremely nice gameplay
- Nice story
- Not the childish version of a batman game.
- Not a mindless beat 'em up game, needs some tactic
CON:
- Need a decent PC to play else it is shit.
- It's completed very easy even on the hardest mode.
Splinter Cell's Conviction
PRO:
- New technique to take down players(2 choice: Stealth or aggresive)
- Targetting system for advanced takedowns
- Sam goes solo, Oh yes.
CON:
- To be honest haven't found any con yet.
Fallout 3
PRO:
- You get to choose whether good, neutral or evil.
- Everything you do has an influence on gameplay
- Huge map(I've been running for 4 hours and still haven't explored all maps)
CON:
-Need to think a little tactical(as in: If your accuracy rate of firing is 14% dont even bother trying it or you'll run out of ammo and start over again --TRIED ON HARD MODE--)
- Third person just sucks donkey balls (Seriously it does.)
As for the rest. Themes would be awesome.
Pokeman is cool. I have a level 12 Pikachu. He thundershock and does not afraid anyone
Braid is a nice stylish game. Brains required![]()
I'd say Mount&Blade:Warband is a damn good game to pickup for a good time. For $30, it's worth the money. Get to hack and slash your way in pretty big battles, not to mention ride a horse. Everyone loves horses.
Considering recent Bioware victory over Blizzard i'd like to mention here some games that have great replayability: Baldur's Gate, Dragon Age, Mass Effect
..........

For those who are Ultima fans you should check out Haven and Hearth - interesting java game. You can build things there and world is really big
Since it seems that games that could suck you in for long stopped coming out few years ago I try some old stuff. Recently I've been completely blown away by Thief series. They are stealth games where you play a thief in a fantasy/steampunk world. Very atmospheric, sound plays significant role in it. From the first mission I fell in love![]()
try warcraft 3 or starcraft
Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City was released for PC several days ago. Crashing cars and killing people is a nice and funny way to relax from wiping on boss![]()
If your bored go out and by the new Pokemon Heart GOld/Silver it's all the rage in Australia, and it'll also chew up heaps of time.
For those who like intellectual arcades: The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
The player controls the main character, P.B. Winterbottom, to attempt to gather pies. The player may record an action and a clone will constantly repeat that action, serving as a platform, pie-fetcher, or other puzzle-solving device.
The game is visually presented like a silent film, reminiscent of art nouveau or films from the late 1800's/early 1900's. As such, there is no spoken dialogue, as all speech is instead shown through title cards in between stages. The game is also shown in mostly black-and-white and features a score primarily composed of piano-centric arrangements bearing a style similar to those of silent-era films.
