Xbox 360 NXE Preview Dashboard [Exclusive Early Download] - Digiex

Seems people that were invited to the NXE Preview program wanted to help show what Microsoft has done for everyone... The Official launch date of this is Nov19th but you can get it now if you want

*** NOTE - You can never downgrade AND can not connect to XBoxLive till the 19th with this installed ***

Some of the features will be accessible LIKE downloading your 360 games to the HDD and playing them from there (still need the disk)... and for those pirates out there, you can still play your 'backups' on the new firmware...

NXE: New Xbox Experience

User Interface changes

• Completely redesiged GUI (Similar to Windows Media Center).
  • New pop-up/in-game Live Guide, using a redesigned version of the blades interface
  • New sound effects
  • Ability to preview your own themes before setting them.
• Support for 1440x900 and 1680x1050, 16:10 resolutions over VGA and HDMI (when using DVI)

Xbox Live changes

• Xbox Live Party
  • 8 person chat and image sharing
• Fully customizable Avatars.[7]
  • Fully customize a character for use in upcoming games and on Xbox Live. Some current games will also receive an update on November 19th to support the new Avatars.
• Access Xbox Live Marketplace on a PC via Xbox.com[9]
• Ability to watch Netflix movies on your Xbox 360. (You must be in the US, a Gold Xbox Live member, and a Netflix Subscriber)

Game changes

• Option to install games to hard drive in order to decrease load times and to make the hardware quieter.
  • Similar to PC games, the disc needs to be inserted in the console to load.
• Information from Xbox Live regarding the game in your disc tray.
• Quick Launch for launching games on your console
• Ability to remove games with 0 gamerscore from your profiles played games list
• Auto Start - Option to set whether you want the disc to run/or stay idle when the disc tray closes with a game or media disc inside, by default its set to runNOTE: Update requires 128MB of free memory
• Microsoft is offering a free 512MB memory card or discounted reconditioned 20GB hard drive to users owning a Core or Arcade system to allow them to download the update at redirect.html

Installing
To install you will need...

• USB drive of some type (a psp will work also)
• The firmware @ http://digiex.net/attachments/homebr...xe-preview.zip

Next up you want to put the folder from the zip in the Root of your USB device



Put the stick into you 360 and turn it on... It will ask you if you want to Update or not...
