    Hehe thanks man

And there shouldn't be any problems with this as long as you do what it says.
It doesn't affect anything else in your computer just the start up time.

    I don't understand... start in 10 seconds???
Look at your post, now back to mine; Now back to your post, now back to mine. Sadly, it isn't mine, but if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate content, it could look like mine. Look down, backup, where are you? You're scrolling through threads, reading the post your post could look like. What did you post? Back at mine; It's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again and the reply is now diamonds.

Anything is possible when you think before you post. The moon is shrinking.

I remember Maximum PC magazine had an entire article about having minumum boot up times. I think the fastest it came down to was around 5-7 seconds with a top end system and all settings maximised towards speed. I do however remember them having warnings about decreased performance due to many background programs not being loaded at the start.

[EDIT] Worked nice, but firefox loads pages slower.

[EDIT2] Firefox seems to ignore 20% of the images now lol. And winamp crashes on start. (gonna change back now)

[EDIT3] WTF, winamp still not working , but firefox is fixed.

    It's true what he's saying.

Decreasing the wait time for background services to load, will give you
a fist in the face later on. Just boot up your computer normal, if you want
your computer to boot faster, just disable all the high quality graphics, and
also make sure f.ex. msn isn't booting up when you start and all that other
crap, it only makes your computer boot slower.

If you have a minimal amount of background and frontend processes loading
up when you boot, then you will boot quite fast, but you won't be able to
boot in 10 secs on any computer, it's also determined by your cpu power
and ram as well, and also which system OS you are using.

    WinVista = Slow, WinXP = Fast. It's a fact.

And V3X, your command works, but it might not close down all the processes correct.
I am no one, and i am everyone!
