How to Install and Use an Emulator

Hey MMOwned members, have you ever missed those old great games you used to play when you still had an N64/SNES before your siblings wrecked the console?

    Well, here's a solution:

    Go to
CoolROM.com - ROMs and Emulators - SNES ROMs NES ROMs Neo Geo ROMs Genesis ROMs N64 ROMs MAME ROMs and go to "Emulators".

There are a lot of emulators to choose from, so choose the one you want. They might offer different emulators to download.
    For example:
    =

Next, wait for the download to finish. Open it up and follow the installation guide. Go to your emulator folder (which is in the place you downloaded it to). Open the emulator, and you may see a blank box with options at the top. We won't bother with those for awhile.

Next, you are gonna download some ROM's to play. So go to "ROM Files" and choose the type you want.

After you've found the game you want, download it. (Some games are ESA protected, and you won't be able to download them.
    )

Ok so back to the emulator.

    1. Click File, Open ROM.

    You should then get this:

Open the ROM you want to play. You should get something like this:

Yay! That nostalgic feeling is overwhelming (to me anyways.)

BUT!!! You aren't done yet. You have to set up the keyboard to actually get it to play. I'll give you my setup, it's easy to work with.

Click OK, it'll save your settings, and voila! You're ready to play those old N64 games again!

Sorry not trying to hijack your thread, but for people who don't want to use their keyboard, and have a wired X-Box 360 Controller you can download drivers for your 360 controller to make it usable on your desktop. Its available on Microsucks website somewhere, but their crap is too hard to find and I don't wanna go through the verification once I find the drivers so heres an alternate link Download Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller for Windows Driver 1.1 WHQL Driver for Windows XP - Softpedia

Using a controller for N64 games is a little easier then using a keyboard
