    Random IP Change?

Currently I have a different IP then what I use to have, it was weird because I couldn't access my server. Then I saw one of those IP and ISP trackers and my IP was different so I checked whatismyip.com and it was changed. I haven't restarted my router or anything. The power did go out though for about an hour, thats what I'm thinking the cause is.

    Re: Random IP Change?

I heard that turning off your router for about 20 minutes changes your IP, but oh well. It's kinda good because if my roommate got IP banned from anything then it's all good.

"Severity"... ive seen that name countless amounts of times on CS:S..

do you happen to be Daz?

anyway.. some routers will automatically reset the IP if it gets turned off for 15-20 minutes

    Re: Random IP Change?

Chances are you jus have a Dynamic IP...Everytime your Router gets restarted/Losses power etc you get a new IP...Regardless of the time...Its how I get past Rapidshare Waiting times
