First off I'd like to wish you all a happy new year
So 8bitsalute announced that they would be doing a Insurgency giveaway in a few hours so I thought that I might as well post it here. I didn't have much time to write this and tried to look for a lower reputated member who could write and post it for me but seems like most people are out celebrating. Here we go:

Insurgency is a pretty hardcore fps that I first encountered during Dreamhack summer 2014. Me and my friends bought the game on steam as it was heavily discounted and started playing it right away.
Insurgency has several modes with the most popular being Push. If I would describe the game in one sentence I would say its kinda like ARMA 3 but with set gamemodes like everyother FPS game on the market.

In Push three objectives must be captured and a fourth objective must be destroyed by the attacking team in sequential order. For each objective captured, they gain more reinforcement and time to attack the next. Reinforcements work like the spirit healer in world of warcraft battlegrounds, 1 reinforcement per spawn "wave". The attackers start with 5 reinforcement and gain 5 for each objective they take over while the defenders have 15 reinforcements total.

The gun play is very different from all other fps games I've played. Think Counter-Strike on steroids, the recoil on all automatic weapons is insanely high and guns such as sniper rifles almost require you to camp for a while before you can shoot accurate. No quick/noscoping in this game.
