Board Game Suggestions

My wife and I frequently play games together, both video & board... We were looking to get some suggestions for any board games that are good for two players.

Games we recently purchased:
Carcassonne - Great game!
Guillotine - Great game!
Mr. Jack - Haven't played yet.
Smallworld - Haven't played yet.
Pandemic - Haven't played yet.

We have plenty of of the classic board games, but we are looking for ones that aren't so common. I'd appreciate any type of suggestions / feedback on games you have played.

My wife loves to play MyVegas. I know it's not a board game, and it's not very 2-player since it's really one player, but she shares with me, by showing me screenshots and wins that she gets. So why am I telling you about this? Because I am burnt out of the game... but still feign excitement when she wins. Well that, and a little bit more... when she plays, she plays on a total of 5 devices. She has a laptop going, and 4 android devices. Yah, she multi-tasks really well. But what we both get out of her addiction is Casino and hotel rewards in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Biloxi, San Francisco, and more. We went in April stayed 2 nites, saw a show for free. We went in October, stayed for 5 nites this time saw a show, hit the buffets (used rewards to pay for 15 of us), got comped 2 of the nites at Mirage

I played for about 6 months and got burnt out, figured out some tricks and ways to bot... but she ended up taking over for me. At this point, I am level-who-the-fark-knows, and have about $325 in comps for our next visit to Vegas. There is a group I recommend if you want to look into the game, it's the only one I ever found that posts chip coupons. It's called MyVegas Tips and Tricks. So not traditionally a 2-player game, but the rewards are 2-player, and that makes up for it somewhat.

the last board game tat i played was RISK / Monopoly iirc generally they would be more fun wif more players.
