Slenderman Phenomenon

Very off-topic question, but I would be interested in hearing from you guys.

What do you know about the Slenderman phenomenon / myth?

When my father was younger, he went and worked down in the Antarctica for a year as part of a science and engineering team at one of the Sanae bases down there.

A little while ago he finally bought a fitting that allows him to attach his old photographic slides (that are usually only viewable on projectors) to the front of his camera and basically digitalize them in high-definition. Upon doing so, we noticed something that we hadn't been able to see before due to poor quality. A big tall, out of proportion shape in the middle of no where when they should not have been ANYONE else up above ground at that time.

I didn't actually know about "slenderman" until a few days ago when I saw my friend playing the apparently popular game based off it.

Tell me what you know/think and I might just upload the photo for you guys to see.

P.S. I know the whole "Slenderman" hoax was created on a forum as a prank, but since then it's been a basis for people to project their own fears and past experiences that relate to the whole slender, mysterious figure.

I've played the game and I personally think it's boring. But a photo and some info of the real event would be cool to see.

Wish more would share their thoughts or experiences, i'm very interested in this kind of stuff.

I however, almost hope that there's someone like slenderman out there. Bigfoot even haha.
