Trade D3 for MoP xpac safe?

Been looking around for some posts about this already haven't had much luck then i remembered this awesome site everyone seemed very knowledgeable. So here is my question is there any safe way of doing this just realized the other night on how difficult it is to trust anyone after i sold the account and someone reversed the paypal payment...
My biggest concern is someone taking over my WoW account with the MoP cd key and claiming it as there own. Now what are some ways to get through this without meeting in person ( i live in the middle of no where ) What procedures should i take to make it as smooth as possible. Thanks ! greatly appreciate any information.
