Hmm, very disrespectful child, but we do not know her side of the story, although I doubt it is an excuse. But it was not the right approach to post about it online for the whole world to see, he should instead sat her down and had a logical conversation with her expressing his thoughts about the post. Things like this will stay online forever and this video may have ruined all college opportunities for her or future jobs. People need to think before they act, both the child who wrote the thing on facebook and the dad who made the video, both two things are a shot in the foot for here future career possibilities. So hopefully not many parents will follow in suit!

I doubt that something disrespectful she wrote about her parents when she was 15 will ruin her future job/college opprotunities. Everyone have said disrespectful stuff about their parents to friends at least one time in their life. He also said this is not the first time she did this.

I think what he did was a good thing. Most teenagers today are spoiled and disrespectful to the people they don't know. Humiliation might be the new way of disciplining your kid!

Until her friends see this and stop being friends with her perhaps and she becomes depressed and starts failing in school, extreme scenario but none the less possible. For colleges and jobs, her dad said he wants her to apply to some right now and she will most likely begin applying for colleges within 3 to 2 years. What will the college or business think when they see something like this when doing a background search? They will most likely say "I do not want someone like this working for me or attending my school." and her chances of being accepted will be greatly lowered.

Yes most teenagers have been disrespectful to their parents at times, but their disrespect wasn't broadcasted to 20 millions of people.

Why would her friends stop being her friends just because of a video her dad made? She had already posted this on her Facebook page so they probably already knew this. If they leave her because of that they're retarded and shouldn't be called friends in the first place.

People change a lot between the age of 15 and 18. So I seriously doubt something like this will have a negative effect on her college application. If it does, the people that's looking at the applications really shouldn't be working there. But that's just my opinion.

Well I don't know how friends work in real life so that was just some example :P. But think of it this way, you are looking through hundreds or even thousands of applicants, you come across this, would you rather hire/accept this person or hire/accept that other person who didn't have any outstanding check marks against them and achieved just as well, if not better, in school and other things.
