HOW TO: Control your dreams! Easiest way known to man.

The guide will be in Spoiler for easier reading. Enjoy!

    Super fast method:
1. Set alarm to 5,5 hours after you go to bed.
    2. Wake up, get a little more awake.
    3. Go back to bed and dream.
    4. Tell yourself '' I'm dreaming ''
    5. Enjoy
Introduction:
Did you ever experience Lucid Dreaming when you were a child and didn't know what it was? Well, I did.
Today, however, I know very much what it is. I thought I'd create a comprehensive guide on how to obtain Lucid Dreaming, the name for controlling your dreams. There are many ways to do this, but I am going to post the version that does not require ANY knowledge about Lucid Dreaming, OBE's, WILD and SILD at all. A more comprehensive guide can be made if wanted.
Preperation:
All you need for this to work is an alarm clock and a steady sleep pattern. That's it. No really, it is. No knowledge required at all.
The method:
1. Go to bed at i.e 12 PM.
    2. Set your alarm 5,5 hours ahead of the time you go to bed.
    3. When you wake up, stand up and go to your refrigirator, get a drink and walk a little around to get your blood flowing and your mind in a little more of an awake state.
    4. When you feel refreshed ( takes usually about 10 minutes ) go back to bed, and think of a dream. ( This is the hard part, 5 hours and 30 minutes into your sleep is when your part of the brain that controls dreams is most active.
    5. Think of something or someone you know really well so you can visualize the situation in the most realistic way ever. This is the most important part: When you are lying there thinking about a dream, feel completely relaxed and let your mind follow the story, but DO NOT GO TO SLEEP MODE, you want to stay focused, and when you feel like you are at the point where you can visualize everything clearly and you feel like you have problems differentiating between dreams and reality, CLEARLY say to yourself this phrase: I am aware that I am dreaming. You will then go through a portal ( different for everyone I'm sure, if you've ever played Borderlands it's like the portal-scene when you change zones. ) You will then go into that dream and control your dream. Note: You have to stay REALLY focused on the dream, otherwise you will fall out and go back to awake stage.
Result:
I can give you a few examples of my LD's (Lucid Dreams). One of the first times I did it, I saw myself as a 3D figure just like that Simpsons episode where homer enters a green ''other-world'' type thing and he looks really weird and 3D'esque. I freaked out and I got out of the dream. Other times I've flown at 500 mph through the air, shot down planes, crushed the earth with meteors, crushed buildings, had sex with a lot of celebrities, etc. Your imagination is the limit!
Things to know about LD's:
When in a Lucid Dream, all light will be the same, you will not see yourself in the mirror, electricity does not exist, there are no sounds, there is no ''breathing'' i.e breathing in and out on a cold day is just like breathing in and out on a hot day, times will stand still, if you watch your clock you will see warped numbers that don't look right, all text will look un-readable, etc.
When you are in an LD you can only dream about things you know or have experienced, an example is: You can not have sex with i.e Pamela Anderson if you've never seen here before, you can not visit a place in the world you've never seen, you have to have the information in your mind before you can experience it.

Cool fact: The other part of Lucid Dreaming is Sleep Paralysis, the act of dreaming while awake and concious. If you have experienced it, you know how bad it is. It's basicly this: You are lying completely paralyzed in your bed, and the part of your brain that controls dreams will create dreams around you. A normal example is this: You lie completely paralyzed, and you can only control your breath and eyes. If you try to scream you can't, you are paralyzed. You see shadows around you, hear sounds, in many cases you get a which that tries to strangulate you. ( And it sure feels like strangulation. )
How to easily achieve ''awake'' state when Lucid Dreaming or experiencing sleep paralysis:
If you want to abort your LD or SP, simply hold your breath, your mind will recognize that you are dreaming, and you will return to awake state. Simple enough.
If you have any questions at all regarding LD, SP, WILD, SILD, OBE's etc then just leave a comment, and I'll happily answer your questions. This is not dangerous, and it's really fun. Enjoy!

hmm well some lucid dreams can have sounds, and electricity if you imagine them. I know mine have sounds. Also practice reality tests throughout the day at random times, try and stick your finger through your palm, hold your nose and try to breath out of it, then hopefully those muscles memories carry over to the dream world and when you do it you will notice you are dreaming, however this can also wake you up if you are not calm.

That's true, having a dream journal and checks during the day will help, but this is a ''how to abuse your brain'' guide to easily achieve LD's. This is probably the easiest method and requires no preperation or knowledge at all.

The reason I added this in Contributor section is because I only wanted to share this with contributors. *shrug*

this happens to me all the time, but not at will. I have this recurring nightmare where I realise i'm dreaming but the paralysis has kicked in, so I'm just surrounded by shadows, darkness and I'm trapped in my bed, then there's this creepy as laughing which is generally the point where I realise what's going on and I try to wake up, but I can't open my eyes, can't talk/scream or anything, then I eventually keep trying to open my eyes and then I literally feel like my eyelids have been ripped open and I wake up all of a sudden, massive sweat and everything.
Sounds stupid but honestly it's one of the scariest things, has been happening consistently for the past 8 years or so. I'll definitely try holding my breathe or something next time.
I've also willingly managed to lucid dream once, that was a weird dream, I got to the point where I tried to fly, managed to hover off the ground for a few seconds then it broke and I woke up, it's pretty cool though.

A thing to remember is that it's all in your head. If you want to break out from Sleep Paralysis, just hold your breath.

All you can do is try and try and eventually you'll get the hang of it.

I've been lucid dreaming for as long as I can remember, I've no idea why but ever since I was young I could instantly tell during any dream scenario that it wasn't real and hold that dream while aware, a few tips to do this would be to look at a clock or a mirror, but you can also notice it from little things that just don't seem right, something may be a different colour, something may be the wrong shape or in the wrong place. Once you've established it's a dream your brain will kick in and naturally you'll try and wake up or shift into a different dream, to prevent this focus on one part of that dream or make yourself spin in that dream and hopefully you'll stay in that dream while fully aware that it's a dream.

I've been doing this for years, the only down side is waking up in the morning and thinking "shit, back to reality."

I use to be able to do this when I was having a week of bad dreams. All I did was tell myself it was a bad dream and literally force my eyes open, then wake up. Sometimes you cant open them and you can control them.. I have gotten a wet dream from doing this lucid dreaming I've only had one bad experience where I was in the dream state but my eyes were open, basically you see everything and you try to move your body but you cant.. Its a bad feeling.

P.S. Dont get to physical or else you would easily wake up.
