SMF vs. MyBB vs. phpBB

I have gone through countless comparisons, charts, and threads on the issue of choosing the appropriate message board software and I need some advice.

I'm working with several others to start up a high school Peer Help Club, which will create an environment where students can ask questions about their homework (or classwork), get advice, learn about scholarships, discuss college entrance strategies, prepare for important exams, etc.

I want to have a small-scale forum set up that is not server-intensive because I have 000webhost's free hosting and I don't want people getting errors constantly when they're trying to get help with an assignment. I would like for there to be some sort of karma, reputation, or currency system for helping members because I am considering having some sort of end-of-year raffle and/or purchasable items throughout the year that people can spend our club currency on.
