    An indie/rock song I recorded

Hey guys, so this is a song that me and a few friends who are trying to get a band going recorded last weekend at my house. I would love it if you could give some feedback and constructive criticism. Even if you don't feel like posting, just listening to the song would be wonderful!

Checking it out, will edit with feedback.

    --EDIT--

    Personally I liked it

Only part I did not like was the first 10 seconds or so and I think the vibration sound went on for a little bit too long. I think you guys need to get better equipment and edit it a bit better as sometimes it sounds a bit too smoshed up together and I can't hear the music nor the singing.

Other then that, it sounds great, has a nice tune to it, keep it up

Yeah, we definitely need to get better recording equipment, this was just recorded in my basement with pretty low-end stuff. The drone is going to lead into the next song, when we record that we plan on using the last 15-20 seconds of it underneath some clean strumming as an intro but I told one of my bandmates I thought it went on too long too, good to know you agree lol. Glad you liked it though, and I really appreciate the feedback!

There's some editing and EQing, but it's not mastered which gives songs you hear on the radio/albums that "clean" sound. We do plan on redoing quite a few things on it though before we release it with our other songs. It's definitely more of a demo than anything at this point.

    Sounded great.

Dunno if it's due to the bad recording equipment, but the bass definitely needs to be turned up (it's not because I can't hear it, imo a louder bass would fit this) and the drumming feels a tad boring (moar bass/double bass please).

I tried to EQ the bass to be fairly prominent sounding, but it didn't come out quite as loud as I hoped it would. My friend did awesome bass work so I agree, louder would be better for it on this song. The drums just have a single bass pedal, and he used it quite a bit but I think do to the way we recorded the drums it gets kind of lost .

    Thanks for listening Zoid!

Nice, Not sure about that clean guitar in the first verse though? Sounds out of place, but may be cos it's not mastered

EDIT: Actually might be the chorus, the part at 0:37, just after that

That's actually the bass, it's just played kind of high but that's one of the parts we all mutually decided needed to be taken out/changed, I totally agree with you. Thanks for listening, I'll have to repost when we redo it and see how you like it
