    Dreadlocks?

    Hello people.

Been reading about dreadlocks for 2 days or so now.

I actually got inspired by a guy that I saw in a tivoli, some years ago, who had it. And just got to think about it.
And my cousin had told me that they never wash their hair, and when they actually do wash it, they do it with the soap you use to clean up dishes and stuff like that. And that they were rotten.

After reading here and there, I've figured that it's all rumors. And it should actually be healthier for your hair, like that, if kept right.

So I was wondering if I should go from bald to get dreadlocks?

I have no problem with being bald, that's not it. I just find the dread hairstyle pretty fascinating. I've also spoken with 2 people who have it themselves, and they find it pretty nice that they get so much attention, from other people. And that people ask them questions and such.

    Would you guys do it?

    Wrong.
My boyfriend is a dreadlock specialist and I've learned quite a bit about them from him. If kept clean they don't stink and no you can't get lice by having dreadlocks.

And yeah, I'd definitely do it, but they won't look good on me. Otherwise I find guys with dreadlocks pretty hot. (:

The first few months, they look pretty bad. Then they start to get better.

And it is possible to get them out again, without cutting your hair, and all that. Just takes a long time.

To get them, dont wash your hair. And just rub your hand on your head in circles. Your hair will knot up and get dready(Itl take a week or 2). One its realy realy dready you can wash it once a week or whatever you do.
    Source: Used to have them.

    Natural way:
Let your hair grow, without using any weird products on it, and it will dreadlocks by itself.

Dreadlocks lock best when they're clean, not dirty.

But there's many ways to do it, yes.

    And proud of it!

OT: I had my dreadlocks for about 2 years, some awesome shit right there.
    Pros:
Use as pillow on bus rides. (Quite comfy actually :'D)
    Looks awesome as hell.
After the hard work with getting them to actually dread getting your hair prepared in the morning is done in a pinch.
Lots of attention (And I love that!)

    Cons:
Stupid people deciding to try and beat you due to "doing drugs" as you have the "bob marley weed hair".
You might miss having a regular hairstyle.
Not being able to look "decent" is a bit lame. :/

Other than that I don't think there's anything more to say about them.
My sister did my dreads with bee wax etc. took about 10 hours in total to do them I think.

    Good luck with it, bro
