    future project

Basically I want to make bots for some of the big games coming out soon (mainly Star Wars Knights of the Old). I want to start development very early in order to make a superior product that we can all be proud of. I am already signed up for the beta with my partner but for now we want to create a framework that will be adaptable to any mmo on the market. Just switch out the new offsets. tweak the functionality a bit but overall it will have the same clean design and ideal for each game. What I want from this community is feedback and input. Right now I have a base framework with support for Custom Classes (like glider), and Keys.xml support for custom keystroke sending control (again glider based), profile creation and loading. What I need is what you want the UI design to be like, where you want the player and enemy info, what options you are interested in, features. The first stage of all of this is to make the UI, show you guys updates as it comes along and let you guys rip into it and feed me the changes you want to see. When a solid framework is established I will then take votes on what current Mmo you would like to test it on (all testing will be 100% free and public) and I will start yanking offsets and you guys can play around with it. Ultimately the goal is to make a bot that the public agrees is great, runs great and looks great. Let me know what yuo guys thin,k about this and we can get started, feel free to give your input on design and functionality here as well.

(Apoc or other admins, just let me know if this topic is off limits or just move it to whatever sub forum you feel it belongs in sorry for any inconvenience and thanks for keeping this awesome community up and going)

    1) Play style is totally different depending on the game.
    2) The type of framework you're talking about isn't exactly possible. (Yes, you can 'borrow' a good bit of things, but the logic behind how to play the game can't really be transferred)

Moderation note; Don't bother posting competing sites names in your titles. They'll just be removed.

Oh my project is Mmo-Pro sorry about that

Basically the mainframe work will just consist of Profile support, custom class creation, the keys.xml style of custom key sending. This frame work and the main "Running Loop" will of course take into account the differences of gameplay style of many different Mmo's, I just want to create a base GUI set up that can be moderately tweaked but still hold the same standards and idea carried through. Totally understand a 100% framework for a bot cannot be done what I am doing with this project is mainly creating a structure/class hierarchy (think Player extends Unit which extends Object ect ect) for which a bot can be built upon for many different games.

Also a good bit of the logic can be xfered over like movement through a waypoint based or navmesh system, sending keystrokes, but as far as combat goes that is simple just about every single bot is just a keystroke sender, in WOW you just que up spells, in AoC you just follow a pattern of keystrokes to complete combination), just want to make something to community can use and adapt to different gives with minimal effort (but of course effort will still be needed) :P

Just say you haven't decided on a name yet.

The name is one of the most important parts of anything, it gives a initial reaction and perspective to what it is and shows how serious and mature you are about the project. If it's called UberLeetCore then obviously people are not going to take it seriously, whereas something such as 'Futile MMO' would be taken a lot more seriously. Although that name is poor, it doesn't really stick or catch, you need a name and slogan or just a interesting name. It can take a while to come up with.

Agreed, I have been pretty busy planning out a good class structure and possible core functions lately to really give a name too much thought, plus this is simply the "core framework" of something that will be adapted so the name is going to have to be a bit generic to get the point across that it is meant to encompass many different games.
