Skype voice changer help

So i just got skype and AVS voice changer but they don't work together.

but it failed

any ideas?

I reccomend MorphVox (free edition available here Voice Changer Software - MorphVOX Junior - Free Voice Changing Online)

It works with the latest skype version, on win7 x32 and x64, tested this with some friends of mine.

Skype requires AVS Voice Changer 7.0 or higher. This is because Skype "reads" your sound straight from your microphone. This is why 7.0 is required, as it has VADMode which basically installs itself as a microphone.

So...

Sound -> AVS -> AVS Driver -> Skype -> End

whereas in V6 it just modifies the sound coming through windows itself, so..

Sound -> AVS -> End

and because Skype reads from a microphone.. it won't pick it up.

Note: This is merely what I have gathered from my own experiences. Do _not_ take my word as 100% pure fact, as I may be wrong. But I'm fairly certain this is correct. Feel free to say otherwise if you have more information.

So back to the original question, if it's not working and you have 7.0, simply reinstall it and make sure the driver installs correctly. Once you are _certain_ the driver has installed itself correctly, go into Skype and set your microphone to the VAD Microphone. Once you have done this, it should work flawlessly.
