My "Awesome" Day! ;-)

Ok, So I start off my "Awesome" day by arriving at work and finding that we got a pretty big construction crew infront of my parking lot.. So I park across the street and sneak by the workers and make it inside the building. I begin my daily routine, paper work, a little cleaning to make the day go by faster since at this point we had 0 customers because of the workers "Working". At around 12 MD I run over to my car and get my cell phone and run over to a nearby deli and pick up some lunch; on my walk back as I'm sneaking by the workers a cop stops me..

"Hey! Kid... Now I gota tell you something.. I've seen you walk up and down this street like 11 times now.. What are you gona do if you get hit or hurt?" At first I had a slight smirk on my face because I thought he was kidding.. and I said "Well Sir.. I think I would go to the hospital" Now I didn't mean to be a wise ass.. But I wasn't really thinking straight at that moment and I replied again "But Sir, it has been 4 times only and I have to cross the street the city workers are blocking my Jobs parking lot I have no choice..." He looked at me and pulled out his little ticket book and said "Well I'm giving you this ticket for J-walking because you could have simply walked down the street and crossed at the light.." I gave him the dirtiest look that pretty much summed up everything I wanned to say.. but kept it together and said "For J-walking.. eh? Wow... ok Thank you have a GREAT day" with a bit of sarcasm .

I finally made it inside the bulding with a nice new addition to my ticket collection for J-walking (J-Walking??? -_-).. I explained to my boss what happened and he marched out there and said... "Excuse me officer, Hi I'm the Manager at this location and I see that you gave my worker a ticket for something rather silly.." At this moment I'm like glued to the window.. the cop smiled and said "Ok, not that I have to explain my self to you.. But he gave me attitude and he's been parading him self up and down this street all morning.. Now I have no time to talk to you or your J-walking friend so.. Have a good day".. My boss upset now said.. "Ok thanks I'm calling the town and complaining.. and YOU have a nice day" he walks In and tells me the story... I go sit down and have my lunch and I can hear him talking to somebody over the phone telling them the story.. after the whole thing Me, the cop, my boss and some other ass hole are having a meeting to "talk" things over.. I don't know what my boss said but this could get messy ....


Now tell me was this fair? ... I honestly don't know but if anything goes "down" ill keep you updated.. >.<

Personally, I think that this situation can become.. well. Aggravated. So to say.
Truth is, generally speaking, people tend to abuse their power, and I honestly think that's what's happening here.
I really hope you and your boss can sort things out. And, If needed, talk to the construction workers. I'm sure they care justify the "J-Walking" part. It's only acceptable If you're a hurry.

Well he didn't really do anything wrong I would say, J-walking is against the law but cops usually dont give a ****, but u seemed to make him give enough of a **** but pissing him off. Basically he had a right to give you a fine, and you gave him a reason to use his right

He just felt like being a D***head. Seriously. Even if he doesn't take the ticket off you can def fight it in court and get off scott free. That cops just being dumb. At least its a hilarious story to tell :P
