I have seen stock 3.12. If you REALLY did get to 5.2, I would think that you have an insane liquid cooling system that stops your computer from dieing. Also with all the volts that would have to go through your CPU to run at 5.2 you are going to burn that chip up in probably less than a month. Now as for Phenom III, I think he means Phenom II AM3 (it supports DDR3)

Personally, no. I don't think your pc is old. I'd kill for 4gb of ram xD.
