Warning from 'RapidShare'..is it bad?

Hey guys? I have recived some email from RapidShare about resharing Joanas guide. And they said something about if police wants my details they will give it to them and stuff like that as it violates policies.

Is this really bad? Am I going to be searched by police? Or is it just a poinless threat which should be ignored?

well i would advise u to not rehost it, just wait and see, maybe u will maybe u won't. its the same as downloading copyrighted stuff online like mp3's. Maybe u get caught, maybe u wont.

Or was it just text or something?

If worst comes to worst, i guess you COULD actually purchase the guide. Say that you uploaded it because there was something wrong with your computer. You wanted to be assured that that you could redownload it, should you have to format your computer or something. You easilly forget passwords, however you use the same password for every account, and you rather not write your password down on paper, as someone could easilly use this. It wasn't meant to actually be spread out.

Too many flaws with this responce, such as the number of perhaps downloads. Alter it into something that makes sence though :\

But my point is...I see Joanas guide being hosted through RapidShare few times... did anyone get a fine and such? I am 16 so... yeah, I kind of don't wanna go to jail for just hosting one simple guide. o.0

Just make sure from now on to start using a proxy when uploading anything that may be considered illegal. That way they can't can't contact your ISP for any real information.
