ok, so I managed to get the safe open. Now I'm stuck and my head hurts

Here is what I need to open by decoding a code:



Here is the legend:



Guide: "The G is connected to the D, the first O to the C, the second O to the U, and L and K are connected to each other. Using the codes you wrote down from around the room you will need to mix and match. The codes you wrote down all have 2 letters = a letter and a number. For example, GO=A4. In this case G=A and O=4. OD=C4, O=C and D=4. Since G and D are connected it would make A4. Using this formula mix and match the codes until instead of GO, OD, LU, CK, you have GD, OC, OU, LK."

My code with the first 4 done for you:

1 = a1
2 = a2
3 = d4
4 = b3
CK = b1
LU = d4
OD = a2
Go = dl

You tell me what I'm doing wrong I fail at puzzles but I'm determined to do this one way or another.

You need 8 numbers, 4 retrieved from different areas of the room and 4 in the paper you got from the radio.

should be like;
1 = a1
2 = a2
3 = d4
4 = b3
5 = b4
6 = c1
7 = c3
8 = d1

something like so.

argh, bit lost atm.. Sorry. Not sure what to do, but you need 8 codes at least and none may be a duplicate.

I'm going to give up soon since I went and got all the codes again and there are 2 repeats, from around the room (gold bar, little hole, floor and safe) and from piece of paper. I can't get it to work and I can't be bothered to go through the hassle of doing this all over again

You need to do like the guide said, like GO = a1, then the G would be the a and the O would be the 1 and then switch it with some other letters but I can't remember WHERE. it's killing me.
