More general hacking questions

1.Why is it that we can change the codes for mountain climbing and we can change what plane we and all other npcs are on but not health/stats/ect.?

2. I also play l2 occasionally and looked into a program called Hlapex, though now it is patched on all servers. Its a packet sniffer/sender like wpe pro. why would packet sending only work on private servers? heck why wouldnt it work on wow?

3. are mountain climb and tele to plane still safe for 2.1?

Some things are delt Client side (hackable) and other things (like health, gold, xp, etc) are delt server side (not hackable) so some stuff you can hack, some stuff you cannot.

And for your other question. WPE pro, to my understanding, is looking for a specific database to target to get a code for items, such as the .scp scripts in private servers. that is probably why it does not work on live servers. (i think)
