Okay, I'm buying a new computer, and I want to know very simply is there ANY way to keep windows or do I HAVE to buy a new copy?
Feel free to give me any "creative" solutions.

Creative solution. Just download and burn. Install on your new PC. =)Code:www.warez-bb.org
Alternatively, you could go / call wherever you bought your PC and ask for the windows CD that was used to install your copy of windows. They need to give it to you in case you format.
What's a Parog?

Thanks a lot, and grats on legendary, I didnt realize.
Yeah, just download it from somewhere and burn it. But i think the new computer should have Windows, so don't worry about that.![]()
What version of Windows is it? I might be a bit out of date, but last time I checked if you DL a non activated vista, you might run into the WGA issue in which MS will disable a couple features since it is pirated. Windows XP has a REG fix to prevent WGA from detecting pirated Windows XP. Vista might have one now, but last time I checked they did not.
Depending on how old your current computer is the OEM might not send you a disc. I know with some companies you have to ask for it upon purchase or within like 14 days.
You could always keep your HDD on your old computer, and insert it into your new computer and run off 2 HDD, keeping your data, and OS, and if your computer has RAID, then your even going to save some CPU power.
Don't forget to copy the key on the Windows sticker on your computer if it was not a custom one. If you decide to pirate the software, make sure you get an OEM version and just use your current key and you should be OK.
If you end up using a pirated key, you can always call MS after you get the WGA issue and try and get them to issue you a new key, make up some BS story.
Sounds crazy but I actually got my key that way![]()
