    WARNING: Internet Explorer Virus

Hey guys i was recently watching the news and i came across this

It was talking about how hackers had found a flaw in the browser and was posting malicious code in websites.

"The flaw allows criminal gangs to take control of people's computers and steal their personal information when they visit websites that have been corrupted by malicious hackers."

"But the Internet Explorer security flaw could also be exploited by criminals seeking to steal people's bank details, private data and identities. "That's a big fear right now," said Paul Ferguson of Trend Micro security researcher, warning of "mayhem" if fraudsters succeed. "

I dont know about u guys but i use mozilla so im assuming im safe from these sites.

but there was one thing i laughed at that made me post it here.

"The websites corrupted by the hackers are mostly Chinese, and have been programmed to steal passwords for computer games which can be sold for money on the black market."
    rofl

But anyone just thought you guys should know to be careful.

Yeah I use Mozilla and I'm pretty sure from what I read it's just an IE problem. Kinda sucks. First Flash and now IE, what's next? The whole internet?

IE has always had security exploits. Honestly, I am not surprised in the slightest.

There is no reason to ever use IE. Just get Firefox or Opera.

    It's not a virus, it's a vulnerability. There's a huge difference.
Virus is malicious software that multiplies through networks by itself. A vulnerability is a flaw in the code.
Or should I be more precise, it's a CSRF attack.
You don't need to download anything, your browser automatically executes the code.

Omg, thanks for the heads up!
    IE sucks and FF rocks!

I recommend you to scan your PC if you've uninstalled IE7.

No, not really. It's very limited and I would almost rather use internet explorer.
