    Can I Use S-Video Cable?

I was hoping on hooking up my computer to my T.V I have done some research on it and found a few things out, I heard you need a supportive graphics card..?

I don't even know what graphic card I have, but I guess it is suppose to show it here?:

So can I hook it up...? I'm clueless lolz.

If it has a S-Video port on the graphics card then it will work on your TV you just need the correct cable, this usually comes with the graphics card.
If you need me you have my skype, if you don't have my skype then you don't need me.

Just double checking everything, and I know about the cables.. Just wanted to know if my graphics card could support it.

I have an 8600GT which is very similar and it has an s-video output port so I think your videocard most likely has one as well.

Just to confirm it, yes your video car supports s-video output. Normally, actually pretty much 99% of the time, if your video card has an s-video port on the back of it then it does support s-video output.

But yea, you can go get yah a s-video cable and have fun

If its a single s-video cable as in if there is only one yellow pin to the TV then it will be in black and white, and for ****sa my 42" HD-TV runs at 250 hertz and my 19" monitor runs at 80 hertz so there is a differens in refresh rates but you don't really notice it.

If there is only once plug, and it is a yellow rca then no it won't be in black and white... At least to my knowledge. Last time I tried it was in color. But I can't remember if we were using regular rca or component, not that it should matter that much.

It may or may not work, depends on if the VCRs scart is fully wired and has the connections for SVideo
