Have you ever spent hours looking for your favorite song on the internet, but when you finally get it onto iTunes, it's unplayable on your iPod?? I for one, hate this because I get excited of nothing, hehe.
This guide will teach you how to fix this problem no matter what kind of file the song is!
Requirements:
1. Audacity - audacity[.]sourceforge[.]net
2. Song (obviously?)
3. LAME encoder - audacityteam[]org/wiki/index.php?title=Lame_Installation
Steps:
1. First, copy your song to your desktop for easy access...
2. Download and install the latest version of Audacity
3. Follow the link provided for a "How to:" guide on installing Lame encoder
(The LAME encoder is a .dll file that allows Audacity to export files as MP3s)
4. Open up your song in Audacity (File-Open)
5. Then go to File-Export_Export as MP3
6. Choose a name for your file (Name-Artist ??)
7. Choose a location for your new song (My Music/Desktop)
8. Click save and enjoy your newly playable song
Been using this method to fix songs for my iPod for a few months now and it works wonderfully! No need to download trial versions of converters that barely work anyways! Have fun!
