    Video Card Compatibility Question

I have a PCI-EXPRESS 8x slot on my server right now , although all I can find is 16x video cards , I think 16x PCI-EXPRESS video cards will work on an 8x slot , just at 8x speed....right?

    I'm pretty sure you're correct.

Though I wouldn't go sticking a 9 series nvidia card in a 8x slot, it would bottleneck so much.
